Who Are We?

The "we" bit refers to my "helpers" - i.e. my family and friends.

My name is Ian Bird and I live in Canberra A.C.T Australia

I'm a "retired" Aussie, who is having fun with computers, the Internet, websites and hopefully making a quid (dollar) in the process. (Shows my age, doesn't it!)

I have been involved in Computer Aided Drafting (here in Australia) for some 40 odd years, in one form or another and have used computers in the areas of design and construction, in my own business.

I retired in 2001 and after the initial unwinding, doing things I wanted to do, traveled and saw some of the countryside, finally realised that I still had the urge to do 'something!'

Not necessarily anything full time, but perhaps part time or casual 'work'. (That four-letter word - again!)

Since then, I have been creating 'As Constructed', 'As Installed' and 'As Built' plans for various Contractors, Construction Firms and Consultants, in a number of engineering fields, such as: Electrical, Communications, Civil, Air Conditioning, Fire Protection.

Also for Architects, Landscape Architects and Builders in the Residential, Commercial and Landscape areas.

The above areas have made me a reasonable living, but this urge to still 'do something' still nagged at me, so I decided to see if I could generate an income (or preferably multiple incomes) using the Internet.

At this stage, the areas listed on the left menu (on the home page), have contributed to my total income and so, I would suggest to you, if you'd like extra income, try a few different ideas yourself - you will be surprised at what you can achieve.

Using the Internet and a PC can help you no end, and it's not particularly hard to get started!

(If I can do it after retiring - just imagine what you could do, even in a part-time way - if you just DO IT!)
